Over the past twenty years, the principals and staff of TERA
have worked in a variety of capacities with clients, serving many
facets of the energy industry, from power marketers, generators,
cooperatives, pipelines, transmission and distribution, to
regulators and governments.

TERA has developed and provided energy price risk management
programs and services for electric and natural gas utilities,
electric and natural gas end users, crude oil producers and
refiners, financial institutions, natural gas producers and
processors, marketing companies, and project developers.
TERA's principal and staff project experience includes:
- Establishment and management of a comprehensive energy price risk
management program for a $400 million U.S. electric utility.
This innovative program managed $200 million in assets, and was one
of the first in this industry sector to separate financial and
operational risk.
- Establishment and management of a comprehensive price
risk management program for a major U.S. natural gas liquids
and processing company moving 500,000 barrels per day of liquids
and 200,000 barrels per day of crude oil.
- Development of the first North American electricity spot
market, the Power Exchange Operation.
- Establishment and management of comprehensive price risk management program for a major U.S. oil trading and transportation company, and a major U.S. independent oil and natural gas marketing and advisory company.
- Establishment and management of an energy fund for an
international merchant bank.
- Review and design of new electric power market structure for Latin American country.
- Modeling real assets to help manage engineering assets as financial assets.
