  • Real Time Trading Simulation
    Designed for staff that have a working knowledge of exchange traded futures and options. This unique learning experience consists of a one-day classroom session followed by 1 to 2 months of real time trading conducted over the Internet. An optional follow-up session is available, featuring a review of market developments over the simulation. Topics include: futures review, options review (theory, pricing, and trading), types of orders, and execution strategies.

    Designed for executive management and staff that have some acquaintance with changes going on in today's natural gas and electricity marketplaces.

  • Energy Risk Management and Trading - One Day -
    Designed for staff that have completed the Overview Of Energy Risk Management and Trading course, and who wish to increase their understanding of how to qualify and quantify risk. Topics include: the definition of price risk, the definitions of basis risk, the management of price risk, the definition of hedging, use of futures, options, exchange traded instruments, over-the-counter instruments, and contracts for differences. Includes a number of interactive case studies and examples.

  • An Overview Of The Physical Electricity Business - One Day -
    Designed for executive management and staff that have some acquaintance with other energy commodities, but little direct experience with electricity.

  • The Basics Of Fundamental Analysis - Half Day -
    Designed for staff that have some acquaintance with futures and options, but little familiarity with time series analysis, the forward curve, and trading strategies.

  • Using Fundamental Analysis - Half Day -
    Designed for staff that have completed the Basics of Fundamental Analysis course, and who wish to increase their understanding of how to read and use data furnished by information services, internal corporate sources, and additional sources. Often taken on the same day as Course 5.

  • Trading Strategies Using Fundamental Analysis - Two Days -
    Designed for staff that have completed the Basics of Fundamental Analysis course, and who wish to substantially increase their understanding of how to prepare analysis, develop trading strategies, and modify these strategies based on market changes. Topics covered include: the use of weather patterns and forecasts, the use of storage information, and the use of regional supply and demand balance information.

  • The Basics Of Technical Analysis - Half Day -
    Designed for staff that have some acquaintance with futures and options, but little familiarity with time series analysis, spreads, and trading strategies. This course includes the following topics: history and psychology of technical analysis, simple trend following techniques, and short term market behavior.

  • Using Technical Analysis - Half Day -
    Designed for staff that have completed the Basics of Technical Analysis course, and who wish to increase their understanding of how to read and use analyses furnished by a broker or outside preparer. This course includes the following trend following topics: short term trend lines, RSI, oscillators, and stochastics, and position going into bid week. Often taken on the same day as Course 8.

  • Trading Strategies Using Technical Analysis - Two Days -
    Designed for staff that have completed the Basics of Technical Analysis course, and who wish to substantially increase their understanding of how to prepare analyses, develop trading strategies, and modify these strategies based on market changes. This course includes the following: simple trend following techniques, pattern recognition, buying forward, discipline and stops, breakouts/reversals, and market time reference.

  • Advanced Technical And Fundamental Analysis - One Day -
    Designed for staff that have completed the Basics of Technical Analysis course, and the Basics of Fundamental Analysis course who wish to generally increase their understanding of how to prepare analyses, develop trading strategies, and modify these strategies based on market changes. This course includes the following topics: using technical analysis for discipline and coordination with fundamental analysis, volatility analysis for trend determination and risk control, and combining indicators and approaches.

  • Developing A Successful Trading Program Using Fundamental And Technical Analysis -Eight Days-
    This course is designed for staff that have some acquaintance with futures and options, and little or no familiarity with time series analysis and trading strategies. The program covers how to prepare and use analyses, develop trading strategies, modify strategies, the use of selected advanced indicators, and how to develop and benchmark a useful trading system. This program can also be offered in separate fundamental and technical modules. The course includes multiple instructors, and a trading simulation that helps staff gain specific practical experience with the concepts presented in the course.
